THE STATION PROVIDES REAL HOMECOMING EXPERIENCES THAT RECONNECT, RECHARGE, AND REKINDLE RELATIONSHIPS
The effects of combat extend well beyond the battlefield, disrupting the lives of service members and their families. This is especially true for our Nation’s quiet warriors, the U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF). The heavy demands and high expectations placed on SOF make it difficult to preserve the health, wellness, and readiness of its service members and families.
In 2011, we identified a need to protect the SOF Community before it is too late. We knew It was crucial we establish the same level of support in their homecoming as SOF receive in combat.
Now, over a decade later and more than 1,000 families supported, the need for our services remains. War has not ended for SOF, but rather intensified. As conventional forces have withdrawn from combat, we now have one community left in the fight, U.S. Special Operations Forces. The demands and pressures continue to mount and the need for our work has never been more urgent.
